The Vandoren VK1 reeds for Bb clarinet are made from a unique synthetic composite material developed by Vandoren after seven years of research. This material does not imitate the structure of the reed, but reproduces its physical characteristics, ensuring the same acoustic behavior as natural reeds.
The VK1 reeds are completely new in terms of both material and manufacturing process, produced in France, and are 100% recyclable. They are available in six strength variations, corresponding to strengths between 2.5 and 3.5 of traditional reeds.
