The Zoom ECM-3 extension cable is a practical solution for expanding the capabilities of your Zoom recorder. With its three-meter length, this cable allows you to place interchangeable microphone capsules separately from the main unit, for example, by mounting them on a tripod, boom pole, or directly onto a DSLR camera using the included adapter. This provides the flexibility to adjust the microphone's position to achieve the best sound quality while maintaining full access to the controls and monitoring on the recorder itself.
