The dbx 266XS Compressor/Gate is a professional dynamic control device designed to make your sound more balanced and expressive. It is perfect for live performances and studio work, allowing you to smooth out signal levels, add sustain to guitars, thicken drum sounds, and clearly bring vocals forward in the mix.
The unit features patented OverEasy® compression technology that delivers smooth and musical compression, while the unique AutoDynamic™ attack and release controls make it simple and effective to use. The compressor can operate in stereo or dual-mono mode, includes true RMS power summing, and offers high-quality balanced and unbalanced inputs and outputs in XLR and 1/4" TRS formats.
For convenience, separate LED indicators display gain reduction, compression threshold, and gate threshold levels. Additionally, the dbx 266XS includes a sidechain input and a classic Auto mode for easy adaptation to any audio task. Its reliable and functional design makes this compressor/gate an excellent choice for any professional audio system.
