Elektron

Elektron is a Swedish company with a solid history of musical innovation that was established back in 1998. The company has offices in Gothenburg, Los Angeles and Berlin. The company's mission is to save the world with extraordinary sound. All instruments are developed in Sweden and undergo rigorous individual testing before being released on the market around the world.

Elektron began work on its first electronic instrument in 1997. At the time, it was a project, a required course in the Computer Science program at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. The three founders were Daniel Hansson, Anders Gärder and Mikael Räim. The synthesizer, called SidStation, was initially produced in a trial batch of ten units. The project was deemed commercially viable, so in 1998 Elektron ESI was created to develop it. Jonas Hillman later stepped in to provide the management, structural reform and capital needed to develop the company. Since then, he has served as CEO, principal owner and spokesman for the company, later renamed Elektron Music Machines. With Hillman at the helm, Elektron offices have been opened in Los Angeles and Tokyo.

Elektron is a team of music researchers who put all their efforts into making the lives of music lovers around the world better. The company's products attract both experimental underground performers and high profile artists, producers, DJs and musicians around the world. Elektron makes some of the most interesting analog synthesizers in the world. These synthesizers shape the sound of modern electronic music. Music groups and artists using Elektron instruments include such famous bands as The Chemical Brothers, The Knife, Nine Inch Nails, Depeche Mode, The Smashing Pumpkins, etc.

Elektron is empowering music lovers. Guided by creativity and imagination, the company's products belong to today's world and define the sound of tomorrow. Advanced technology, accessible through elegant interface solutions, guarantees a unique experience. Development and production to the highest standards make the three-year warranty a natural fit.
