The Guild D-20 is an acoustic guitar that embodies the traditions of American premium instrument manufacturing. First introduced in 1968, this model is the epitome of the classic dreadnought design, crafted using solid African mahogany. Thanks to its all-wood construction, the D-20 delivers a rich, warm, and deep sound that is suitable for both rhythmic accompaniment and solo performance.
The lightweight matte nitrocellulose finish allows the wood to breathe, maximizing its natural acoustics. The mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard has a comfortable C-shaped profile that fits perfectly in the hand, ensuring comfortable playing even during long sessions. The balanced fret placement and 12-inch fingerboard radius contribute to perfect intonation and smooth playability.
The Guild D-20 also features fine details such as mother-of-pearl logo inlay on the headstock, traditional vintage-style rosette, and high-quality hardware such as Guild Deluxe Vintage open pegs with cream oval knobs. The bone thresholds and Scalloped X soundboard binding system provide for stable tone and improved resonance.
