The Taylor Guitars AD-17 Blacktop acoustic guitar is a premium instrument from the Grand Pacific series that combines elegance and superb sound. Its back and sides are made from ovangkol, an exotic African wood that delivers the warmth and brightness of rosewood, along with a more pronounced midrange. The solid spruce top provides clear bass and a rich, resonant sound palette, enhanced by the innovative V-Class bracing that offers more volume, a strong sustain, and a harmonious tone.
The guitar’s design reflects a classic vintage style with a black top and deep Urban Sienna shade on the back and sides. The minimalist yet stylish finish includes beveled edges and a black pickguard that protects the top from scratches.
The guitar features 20 frets, with a scale length of 25.5" (648 mm). The bridge is made from eucalyptus, and the top and bottom nuts are crafted from Tusk. D'Addario Coated Phosphor Bronze Medium strings provide excellent sound, while the nickel-plated tuning machines ensure reliable tuning stability. The guitar comes with a special Taylor AeroCase for secure and lightweight protection.
