Electro-acoustic guitar Ibanez TCM50-VBS (Vintage Brown Sunburst High Gloss) combines the advantages of an electric guitar with the versatility of an acoustic instrument that easily connects to an amplifier. The Talman-shaped body is significantly smaller and thinner than standard dreadnought guitars, and the double cutaway provides easy access to the upper frets.
The top is made of Figured Ash, which gives the guitar's sound brightness and clarity, and its figured texture under a clear varnish provides a spectacular appearance. The back and side are made of sapele — a wood that is similar in tonal properties to mahogany and provides a warm, rich tone with a pronounced midrange. The use of laminate increases the body's resistance to moisture and temperature changes.
The guitar's neck is glued, like most acoustic guitars. It is made of okume wood and has 20 Medium frets. The fingerboard and bridge are made of Purpleheart, a dense and hard wood that provides a clean, resonant sound with pronounced high frequencies. The specially shaped Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make it easy to change and hold the strings securely without pressing them too deeply. The scale length of the guitar is standard «acoustic» — 25.6 inches.
The guitar is equipped with an Ibanez AP2 Magnetic magnetic pickup, which is installed near the neck (in the sound hole). It perfectly conveys a natural acoustic sound and at the same time helps to avoid feedback problems that often occur in guitars with piezo pickups when used on stage. There is also an Ibanez AEQ-2TM preamp with a built-in tuner and a simple two-band equalizer (Bass and Treble).
