The Cort KX500 Etched Black is a flagship 6-string electric guitar developed from the successful KX508MS and KX500MS models. It comes equipped with cutting-edge Fishman Fluence Modern pickups, praised worldwide for their versatility and modern tone.
The guitar’s body is made from mahogany, topped with striking ash burl. This wood combination not only looks premium but also delivers a rich tonal palette with a pronounced midrange that cuts through dense mixes.
At the core of the instrument are active Fishman Fluence Modern humbuckers. Unlike traditional pickups, they are free from hum, noise, or tonal degradation caused by inductance. The result is pure, clear, and articulate sound in any musical setting.
The KX500 features smart and intuitive controls. Both volume and tone knobs are Push/Pull enabled, allowing players to switch between two distinct voicings (Voice 1 / Voice 2) and engage coil-splitting. A 3-way selector switch provides easy access to different pickup combinations.
The fixed Hardtail bridge with string-through-body construction enhances sustain and tuning stability. It also simplifies individual string height and intonation adjustments while improving resonance.
The fingerboard is made of Macassar ebony, visually and tonally similar to rosewood. It delivers a tight sound with strong lows and crisp highs. Custom Raindrop inlays highlight the guitar’s unique character.
The truss rod is easily accessible at the end of the neck, making fine neck relief adjustments fast and accurate.
Outfitted with Cort’s locking tuners, the guitar maintains solid tuning stability even during aggressive playing and makes string changes quick and effortless.
