The PRS McCarty 594 10 Top (Yellow Tiger) #0362054 is a unique instrument that combines modern technology with vintage style. The guitar is noted for its versatility and ease of play, making it an ideal choice for experienced musicians.
The guitar’s body is made of mahogany with a maple top, providing a deep and rich tone. The slightly thicker lower body enhances sustain and adds warmth to the sound. The neck is made from solid mahogany with a Pattern Vintage profile and a rosewood (Rosewood) fingerboard with bird inlays. The fingerboard radius is 10" (254 mm).
The McCarty 594 is equipped with PRS 58/15 LT pickups, offering rich, authentic humbucker tones and smooth, clean single-coil sounds. Thanks to the TCI process (Tuned Capacitance and Inductance), these pickups allow precise adjustment of the guitar’s tonal characteristics. Tone adjustments are made with two volume knobs and two tone knobs with push-pull functionality for quick switching between humbucker and single-coil modes. There is also a 3-way pickup selector switch.
The guitar features a PRS Two-Piece bridge made of zinc and brass, which enhances the natural tone and resonance of the instrument. Vintage-style closed tuners provide reliable and stable tuning. The top nut is made of bone.
The McCarty 594 has a glossy nitro lacquer finish in a bright yellow color (Yellow Tiger), adding aesthetic appeal. The instrument comes with a custom case, providing reliable protection during transport.
This guitar represents the experience and knowledge gained from Ted McCarty, who was a mentor and friend to Paul Reed Smith, making McCarty 594 especially valued and respected among musicians.
