The Sennheiser EW-DX SK / SKM-S Base Set (Q1-9) provides stable digital UHF transmission, flexible configuration, and high-quality sound. The set includes a wireless handheld transmitter EW-DX SKM-S with a built-in mute switch, a bodypack transmitter EW-DX SK, a dual-channel EW-DX EM 2 receiver in a compact rackmountable chassis, and two replaceable BA 70 rechargeable batteries. This makes the set a versatile base for connecting different microphone capsules as well as lavalier or headset microphones, which are available separately.
The system supports network connectivity via Ethernet (IPv4 and IPv6), enabling remote control through Sennheiser Control Cockpit software, Wireless Systems Manager, or the Smart Assist App via Bluetooth. This makes the system convenient for scaling and integrating into complex multimedia infrastructures.
The EW-DX EM 2 receiver features up to 88 MHz of switching bandwidth, equidistant channel spacing, and the ability to operate in two modes: Standard (up to 146 channels) and Link Density (up to 293 channels). It offers an OLED display, intuitive interface, and a full set of functional buttons on the transmitters. The system also ensures reliable data protection with AES 256 encryption.
Another advantage is long battery life – up to 12 hours with BA 70 batteries, as well as in-device charging (via transmitter charging contacts) with Sennheiser charging options (CHG 70N, L 70 USB, or modules for the L 6000).
