Turntable ELAC Miracord 60

The ELAC Miracord 60 turntable was developed to bring the world-famous and attractive design of the successful Miracord 90 into a new class of ELAC turntables. The result is a turntable that does not deny its ancestry and at the same time emphasizes its individuality. The new Miracord 60 embodies the meaning of sleek vinyl honed to perfection and timeless, elegant design. Enjoy vinyl records at 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. It features a die-cast aluminum platter and a carbon fiber tonearm with a detachable head for compatibility with a variety of cartridges. The player is equipped with an RCA stereo output, a ground screw and a hinged dust cover. The chassis has excellent resistance to resonances and reliably protects the turntable from vibrations. ELAC Miracord 60 has a fairly comfortable, balanced sound with minimal noise and very high detail, typical for high-end turntables.

Carbon fiber tonearm

A lightweight carbon fiber tonearm with gimbal bearing and detachable head provides flexibility in cartridge selection. It is possible to install a cartridge weighing 3.5 – 15 g at 0.5 – 5 g of downforce. The design of the tonearm provides the ability to adjust anti-skating.

Aluminum platter

The Miracord 60 features a massive piece of diamond-cut engineering crafted from 22mm die-cast aluminium. The plate rests on a steel bearing with a ruby ball 8 mm in diameter. The bearing housing is made of bronze and has minimal friction to maintain rotational stability.

Servo controlled DC motor

The built-in optical sensor sends a signal to the PID algorithm of the microcontroller, which regulates the speed of rotation of the DC motor.

Motor

The ELAC Miracord 60 player uses a classic drive that provides good speed stability without vibration and noise. The DC motor is mounted with double mechanical decoupling from the chassis. At the same time, the material with high damping properties used for the vibration decoupling of the engine was developed by ELAC. The rotational stability of the drive is controlled by an electronic PID circuit with an optical encoder.
