From the very beginning, PRS has been on a never-ending quest for guitar perfection. The S2 series is one more step on this path. These guitars have been designed to give you all the tone and playability that PRS Maryland factory guitars are known for in an affordable, sophisticated instrument.
The comfortable asymmetrical body of the PRS S2 Custom 24 electric guitar is made of mahogany and has a maple top, so it is filled with warmth, resonance and plenty of flavor and stability. The redesigned 85/15 "S" humbuckers give your playing incredible vintage sweetness, clarity and extended tonal range. The 85/15 "S" pickups are modeled after the 85/15 that Paul Reed Smith designed for PRS 30th Anniversary. From shimmering clean to explosive high-gain, the clarity and extended range provided by these pickups make the S2 Custom 24 the perfect live guitar. The push-pull tone control further expands your sonic arsenal by offering a range of great tones.
Paul Reed Smith is known for his passion for neck design. He has built custom necks for many legendary guitarists. The Pattern Regular neck is yet another example of how PRS is always striving to create a neck that delivers flawless tone and playability. The Pattern Regular neck feels great. Carved from mahogany and fitted with a rosewood fretboard, this neck supports the already exquisite body tones.
