Celebrating its 35th year of production, PRS has released a number of new electric guitars, including the SE Hollowbody Standard and Hollowbody II, a reimagining of one of the company's most beloved designs for the more affordable SE line. PRS hollowbody electric guitars were originally conceived by Joe Knags. While the original models from 20 years ago are still available in PRS USA Core line, these SE models are actually completely redesigned.
The PRS SE Hollowbody II is an electric guitar designed to sound as great as it looks. With an all-hollow design, this attractive instrument features a figured maple top and mahogany-sided back for extraordinary clarity and warm resonance. The SE Hollowbody II also features a very comfortable Wide Fat mahogany neck and a premium ebony fingerboard that features PRS's iconic bird inlays. Dual F-holes and two 58/15 “S” humbuckers complete the feature set. The PRS 58/15 “S” pickups balance vintage character and modern definition to produce the pleasing yet articulate sound and rich harmonic overtones of vintage humbuckers. The PRS SE Hollowbody II is hard to beat when it comes to amazing tone, playability and value. If you've ever dreamed of a real hollow guitar but thought it was too expensive, this guitar will blow your mind! The build quality is better than other brands of guitars for half the money. The tone and feel of this new PRS SE guitar is truly amazing.
