The NUX NFB-2 Lacerate guitar pedal is a compact device with a high level of boost. Despite its complex internal Dual FET circuit, operating the pedal is extremely simple: you only need to adjust one control and choose between two boost modes.
In Clean Boost mode, the pedal boosts the signal without altering its tonal characteristics, simply increasing the volume. The Crank Boost mode adds overdrive to the sound and provides significant boost up to +35 dB, which far exceeds the standard capabilities of similar devices, usually reaching only up to +20 dB.
The pedal features a voltage-doubling system that converts the standard 9V into 18V, ensuring greater dynamic sensitivity and sound depth. It's important to note that for correct operation, the pedal should only be powered by a 9V power source (recommended NUX ACD-006A).
The NUX Lacerate also offers a choice between two bypass modes: True Bypass or Buffer Bypass.
The body is made of durable aluminum, features luminescent knobs for convenience in the dark, and weighs only 174 grams. Its compact size makes it easy to transport, and the power consumption is just 75 mA from a 9V power supply.
