Keyboard and Sensitivity

The Nord Piano 6 88 is equipped with a professional-grade weighted keyboard that accurately replicates the feel of an acoustic grand piano. The built-in three levels of sensitivity (Heavy, Medium, Light) allow players to adjust the keys to match their playing style.

The Nord Triple Pedal 2 supports String Resonance and Pedal Noise effects, adding authenticity to the sound when using acoustic piano tones.

Piano Section

The Nord Piano 6 88 stage piano features 2 GB of memory for loading sounds from the Nord Piano Library, which includes high-quality samples of grand pianos, upright pianos, electric pianos, harpsichords, and other keyboard instruments. Thanks to 120-voice polyphony, the instrument delivers natural and clean sound even in the most complex arrangements, ensuring that each note sounds clear and expressive.

Dynamic Tone Control allows flexible sound adjustments, enabling players to tailor the instrument to different playing styles. Additional effects, such as String Resonance and Pedal Noise, enhance the realism of acoustic tones, capturing the natural nuances of a classic grand piano.

Synth Section

In addition to authentic piano sounds, the Nord Piano 6 88 is equipped with 1 GB of memory for working with the Nord Sample Library, opening up a vast range of unique synthesizer, string, brass, and other instrument sounds. A flexible ADSR envelope filter (Attack, Decay/Sustain, Release) allows detailed control over sound dynamics, creating customized tones for various musical styles. For additional sound enrichment, the instrument offers three levels of unison mode, adding depth and spaciousness. The vibrato effect can be adjusted in speed and intensity, while Mono, Legato, and Glide modes ensure smooth transitions between notes, making them especially useful for solo performances and expressive playing.

Effects

The Nord Piano 6 88 is equipped with a wide range of built-in effects, which can be applied both to individual layers and globally. To create expressive sound nuances, modulation effects are available, including Tremolo, Pan, Wah, Phaser, Flanger, Chorus, and Ring Modulator.

The built-in 3-band equalizer allows for precise frequency balancing. To add warmth and character to the sound, amplifier simulations (Twin, JC, Small) are included, which replicate the features of classic amplifiers. The compressor with adjustable levels helps create a more dense and balanced sound.

The delay effect supports time, filter, and Ping Pong effect adjustments for spacious stereo sound. The effects set is completed with reverb, which includes six types (Spring, Booth, Room, Stage, Hall, Cathedral) with settings for brightness and pre-delay, helping create the desired atmosphere for any performance.

Advanced Connectivity

The Nord Piano 6 88 is equipped with all the necessary connectors for easy integration in professional environments. The instrument features two audio outputs (L/R, 6.35 mm Jack), as well as a monitoring input (3.5 mm Jack). A headphone output (6.35 mm Jack) is also provided.

Musicians can use the sustain pedal input, which is compatible with both the Nord Triple Pedal and standard momentary pedals. Additionally, there is an input for a Control/Volume pedal (6.35 mm TRS Jack), allowing dynamic control over the performance.

For integration with other musical devices, MIDI inputs and outputs (5-pin DIN) are available, as well as a USB (Type-B) port for transferring sounds and MIDI data. The instrument is powered via a standard IEC C14 connector, ensuring stable network connection.
