The French company Arturia has unveiled its new plugin, Mix DRUMS — an innovative tool for drum processing. This plugin was developed in collaboration with renowned British engineer and producer Emre Ramazanoglu. It is designed to simplify the complex process of drum mixing and help musicians and sound designers achieve professional-quality sound in just a few clicks.
Mix DRUMS combines an entire chain of high-quality processing tools in a single window — no need for complex settings or long effect chains. The plugin preserves peak signal levels while significantly enhancing perceived loudness. Key features include intelligent peak control using a limiter and clipper, dual-band processing with independent control over low and mid/high frequencies, and parallel compression.
The plugin includes 92 ready-made presets for various drum types, genres, and processing intensities. Users also have access to independent transient shapers for attack and sustain control, the ability to blend clean and distorted signals, spatial effects such as reverb, tape and digital delays, and noise textures like vinyl crackle or tape hiss.
Emre Ramazanoglu, known for his work with artists such as Brian Eno, Noel Gallagher, Lily Allen, and many others, has brought his signature techniques into Mix DRUMS — refined over 25 years of studio experience.
“I wanted to make this side of my drum processing as accessible as possible. And this plugin does it even better than I expected — it’s like a cheat code for massive drum sound,” — Emre Ramazanoglu.
Mix DRUMS promises to become an essential tool for anyone seeking instant, deep, and controlled punch in their drum sound.
