Sabian FRX cymbals are designed for performances where regular cymbals are “too loud.” But these are by no means cymbals with reduced volume. The unique feature of FRX cymbals is that certain frequencies are cut from their tone, making them sound quieter. The 21" ride in this series has clear, controllable articulation and a restrained sustain that does not drown out other instruments. It retains a transparent attack while adding depth to the sound, making it ideal for acoustic performances, studio work, and concerts where balance is important.
