Drumsticks Ahead FZ

Ahead FZ (Frank Zummo Signature) drumsticks are a signature model of drumsticks designed specifically for Frank Zummo, drummer for Sum 41 and Street Drum Corps. The design is based on the legendary Tommy Lee model that Zummo has used for years, but the FZ has optimized weight, balance, and versatility for a wide range of styles, from heavy rock to electronic and hybrid sets.

The sticks are made with an aluminum core, which provides perfectly accurate balance and weight, as well as a 6-10 times longer service life than wooden models. The wrap is a replaceable super-strong polyurethane shell (LTS model) that reduces wear and protects the rims and plastics. The VRS (Vibration Reduction System) reduces shock to the hands by 50%, maintaining comfort and control while playing.

The tip is an acorn-shaped nylon SAT made of Delrin, an ultra-strong polymer that provides a bright attack and clarity on the cymbals. With a length of 16.63“, a diameter of 0.595” and a weight of 65 g, the FZ is a powerful tool for concerts, studio work and active touring.
