Vic Firth 5A Vic Grip is a classic 5A model, enhanced with Vic Grip's proprietary anti-slip coating. The ultra-thin water-based urethane coating is imperceptible to the touch, yet significantly improves grip reliability even during intense playing. This allows you to focus on the sound rather than on controlling the stick — especially important in live performances and studio sessions.

The sticks are made from American hickory, a wood that combines elasticity, density, and durability. The standard length of 16 inches and diameter of 0.565" provide versatility, while the teardrop-shaped wooden tip creates a warm, rounded sound on cymbals and drums. This model is suitable for a wide range of styles, from jazz and funk to rock and fusion, especially in situations where wet hands or intense sets can be a problem.
