The SoundID Reference Virtual Monitoring Add-On is an extension for the main SoundID Reference software, bringing a new level of precision to headphone mixing. It simulates the spatial sound of studio monitors in an acoustically treated control room, allowing you to hear audio not "inside your head," but as if coming from high-quality studio speakers.
This Add-on is ideal for anyone mixing music on headphones, providing a more natural and immersive listening experience closer to real-world monitoring. In addition to studio simulation, the Translation Check feature lets you test your mix on virtual consumer devices like cars, TVs, laptops, and smartphones.
Virtual Monitoring works in both the SoundID Reference standalone app and the DAW plugin, so it can be applied to all audio played on your computer.
It supports over 500 headphone models from the standard Sonarworks profile database or individually calibrated headphones. The license key included activates the Add-on on all devices where the main SoundID Reference license is active (up to 3 devices).
