SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones is a universal calibration software for headphones and studio monitors, delivering consistent and accurate studio-reference sound. With a dedicated (or your own) measurement microphone, you can measure your room acoustics and calibrate your stereo system in under 20 minutes. The software includes over 500 ready-to-use calibration profiles for headphones, allowing quick and easy setup without manual adjustments.
Applying a calibration profile flattens your system’s frequency response across the entire audible spectrum, ensuring reliable mix translation. The new Custom Target tool allows real-time adjustments to your target curve, while the Translation Check feature simulates playback across 20+ devices — from car speakers to smartphones.
The software works as a standalone app and as a plugin in AU, VST2, VST3, and AAX formats for DAWs. It supports three filter modes: Zero Latency, Mixed, and Linear Phase. You also get additional DSP controls like Dry/Wet, Mono, and Safe Headroom, plus fast switching between output presets via MIDI control.
SoundID Reference is compatible with macOS (11 Big Sur and newer) and Windows 10/11, with native Apple Silicon support. You can also export your calibration profile directly to supported DSP hardware — including audio interfaces, speakers, and more (over 10 devices supported).
Included: activation key for up to 3 devices, SoundID Reference software (app and plugin), and averaged profiles for 500+ supported headphone models.
