Software update SoundID Reference For Speakers & Headphones to SoundID Reference For Multichannel

The SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones software upgrade to SoundID Reference for Multichannel unlocks new capabilities for professional multichannel audio work — from stereo up to complex 9.1.6 configurations, including Dolby Atmos. This extension retains all features and profiles from the previous stereo version while adding precise calibration for multichannel studio monitors. You can set a perfectly flat frequency response or choose another target curve according to project needs.

The software offers precise measurements and calibration, supports over 500 headphone models, allows flexible control of the target sound (including limiting the calibration frequency range or manually adjusting the target curve), provides zero latency plugin operation, channel phase alignment for accurate time synchronization, and compatibility with Apple Silicon (M-series chips).

Calibration profiles can be exported to compatible hardware, including Merging Technologies MERGING+ANUBIS, AVID MTRX, DAD AX32, Dolby Atmos Renderer Mastering Suite, Wayne Jones AUDIO studio monitors, ADAM Audio A Series, and Fluid Audio Image Series.

The package includes an upgrade code for your existing license (activatable on 3 devices), a new 90° microphone calibration profile (for SoundID Reference or Sonarworks XREF 20), the SoundID Reference DAW plugin (AAX, AU, VST2, VST3), and a standalone app for stereo systems (ASIO, WASAPI, APO, HAL).

Important! To apply the upgrade, a valid permanent SoundID Reference for Speakers & Headphones license is required, compatible OS (macOS 11 Big Sur and later, Windows 10/11), a stable internet connection (offline use not supported), a SoundID Reference or Sonarworks XREF 20 measurement microphone, microphone stand and clip (ø21 mm clip required for Sonarworks microphones), an audio interface with +48V phantom power, support for sample rates of 44.1, 48, 88, 96, or 192 kHz, and the use of a single external hardware device for input/output.
