Shure ULXD2/K8N is a brushed nickel digital handheld wireless transmitter microphone compatible with ULX-D and QLX-D receivers. It features a KSM8 dual-diaphragm dynamic capsule that minimizes the proximity effect, ensuring stable sound even when the distance between the microphone and the sound source changes. The cardioid polar pattern delivers clear, detailed sound with reduced feedback, great for speech and vocals in live performance venues. With a rugged yet lightweight aluminum housing, the ULXD2/K8N transmitter delivers uncompromising audio quality and RF performance, AES 256-bit encryption for secure data transmission, and advanced charging options for professional sound reinforcement systems. The device delivers clear and reliable 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio over 100 meters, making it suitable for live performances and presentations in music venues and conference rooms. The hardened grating is dent-resistant and covered with a hydrophobic woven fabric that keeps out moisture and flat particles. The device quickly syncs with a wireless receiver via infrared at the touch of a button. Proprietary Gain Ranging automatically adjusts the microphone input level, eliminating the need to adjust the transmitter gain. The power button conveniently performs a mute function while maintaining RF blocking. Frequency and power lock functions prevent accidental or unauthorized changes to settings during events. The backlit LCD display with easy-to-use menus and controls allows quick access to frequency, group and channel settings, as well as mute and mute status, RF output and remaining battery life.
Operates up to 9 hours on two AA batteries. The optional Shure SB900B Lithium-Ion Battery Pack provides intelligent power management, over 8-hour battery life, accurate hours and minutes, and no memory effect. External charging contacts allow you to charge the batteries in the station using the SBC200 Dual Charger (sold separately). The SBC220 AC charger allows remote power monitoring using Shure Wireless Workbench software.
Note: When purchasing individual wireless components, please match their frequency ranges to ensure proper system operation. Shure ULXD2/K8N-K51 operates in the frequency range 606 - 670 MHz.
