The Allen & Heath DT168 is a reliable portable expander for adding I/O channels to Dante-equipped dLive, Avantis, SQ or AHM systems.
This unit has 16 mic preamps with phantom power and overload protection for line sources, as well as 8 XLR outputs. The DT168 can work on stage as well as in a rack or rack thanks to its stage box format with an available rack mount kit.
Support for the Dante protocol allows you to choose between operation at a frequency of 48 kHz or 96 kHz. The DT168 can be added to an AHM-64, SQ, Avantis or dLive system equipped with an SQ Dante or dLive 96kHz Dante card.
The device offers amplifiers from Allen & Heath, as well as converters with a sampling frequency of 96 kHz, for the best sound quality through the Dante protocol. It features primary and secondary Dante ports for daisy-chaining or backup via EtherCon connectors.
DT Preamp Control is PC software that allows you to remotely control multiple DT168 amplifiers. It provides analog gain control, and phantom power for each connector. The program also displays and allows you to edit the names of the connectors through the Dante Controller.
The DT168 can be added to an AHM, SQ, Avantis, or dLive system equipped with an SQ Dante or dLive 96kHz Dante card. The DT168 can also be used with third-party Dante-enabled mixers in conjunction with DT Preamp Control software.
