Bob Marley and the Wailers – a Jamaican band that played in ska, rocksteady, and reggae styles. Formed in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer. The group became iconic in the development of reggae music and is known for hits such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "War", "Stir It Up" and "Get Up, Stand Up." In 1974, Tosh and Wailer left the group due to disagreements with the label and ideological differences. Marley continued with a new lineup and released seven more albums. The group disbanded after Marley's death in 1981.

Africa Unite is an album that combines classic Marley songs with the rhythms of Afrobeats, bringing a fresh twist to his music. Artists involved in the project include Davido, Rema, Sarkodie, Ayra Starr, Patoranking, Nutty O, Winky, Afro B, Teni, Ami Faku, Tiwa Savage, Fireboy DML, Oxlade, and Tems. Each artist reinterprets Bob Marley's songs, adding their unique touch. The album honors Bob Marley's greatness as a musician and his influence on modern African music, while also showcasing how his legacy blends with the new sounds of Africa. The release of the single "Three Little Birds" by Teni and Oxlade is the first step towards the album's release and already demonstrates how organically Afrobeats merge with reggae.
