The ART XDirect™ direct box is a high quality interface that allows you to connect instrument, line or dynamic signals to a mixer or other balanced input. High-impedance 1/4" and XLR single-ended inputs are buffered and converted by highly noise-reducing active electronics into an isolated, balanced, low-impedance signal source. The ART XDirect has an extremely flat and wide frequency response and can handle high signal levels while maintaining an isolated, balanced, low impedance output. This gives the ART XDirect very clear and neutral sound with a variety of signal sources and over long stretches of signal in high noise environments.
What also makes the ART XDirect unique among other "active DI" boxes is its advanced features and versatility. We added a low-pass filter switch that cuts out all very high-frequency interference. This filter is primarily designed to reduce RF interference before it reaches the main system. The filter is also very effective in reducing any digital computer noise artifacts when using the ART XDirect as the interface between your computer-based audio studio and your monitors.
The compact black anodized aluminum enclosure and its flexible power supply design allow the ART XDirect to provide years of trouble-free performance in live, permanent/fixed installation, DJ applications and virtually any PA application. Its full functionality, rugged construction and high specification make the ART XDirect the obvious choice when you need to interface high impedance, low noise sources with a balanced system.
