The Radial SB-1 Active is an active single-channel DI box designed specifically for acoustic guitars, passive basses, and other high-impedance instruments. Thanks to its ultra-compact body, it fits easily into a guitar case, making it an ideal choice for musicians who travel a lot.
At the heart of the SB-1 is a quiet active circuit that instantly converts a signal from high impedance to low impedance, reducing sensitivity to noise and distortion. Buffering and signal balancing ensure high-quality sound transmission even over long cables. The device is powered by 48-volt phantom power, so it does not require batteries or an external power supply - just plug it in and it's ready to go!
The 1/4” input connector transmits the signal through a through-through output (Thru), allowing you to connect a tuner or stage amplifier, and the XLR output provides a professional connection to a mixing console. Polarity reversal (180°) and Ground Lift switches help eliminate phase issues and unwanted noise.
A rugged 16-gauge steel cabinet ensures durability and protection in concert environments. With its compact design, the SB-1 is the perfect DI box for those who value mobility, sound quality, and ease of use.
