The Klark Teknik DN9680 is a flagship AES50 network multiplexer and extender, designed for the largest-scale concert tours, festivals, and installations. This device allows for the combination of up to eight independent AES50 lines into a single trunk channel, transmitting up to 192 bidirectional audio channels over a distance of up to 1000 meters using standard single-mode fiber optic cable. This elegant solution radically simplifies connectivity at large venues, replacing numerous cables with a single reliable connection.

At the core of the DN9680 is the advanced SuperMAC technology (AES50-compliant), which provides not only high channel counts but also ultra-low, deterministic latency. The entire multiplexing and demultiplexing process is completely transparent to the system and introduces a delay of just 250 microseconds, ensuring perfect phase and time alignment of audio signals, which is critical for impeccable sound quality.

One of the key advantages of the DN9680 is its high-precision internal "AES Grade 1" clock oscillator with 1 ppm (parts-per-million) stability. This allows the device to be used as a reference master clock for the entire audio system, delivering crystal-clear sound free from jitter and other digital clocking artifacts.
