The BSS Soundweb Contrio EC-4BV (EU) (White) is an intelligent network wall controller designed for use in Harman HiQnet systems. It is compatible with BSS Soundweb London audio devices, Crown DCi series amplifiers, and other HiQnet-enabled devices. The unit features a white finish and a European (EU) form factor for easy installation in standard wall boxes.
The EC-4BV connects via Ethernet and is powered through PoE (Power over Ethernet), enabling both power and data transmission over a single cable. It includes a rotary push encoder, an encoder ring indicator, four programmable buttons, and a 64x128 pixel LCD display. All control elements feature multicolor backlighting with 8 selectable colors and adjustable brightness.
This controller allows volume control, mute toggling, source selection, preset recall, and custom text display on the LCD. It supports a sleep mode where all LEDs turn off after a period of inactivity to minimize distraction in low-light environments. The device wakes automatically upon any user interaction.
The EC-4BV supports multiple operation modes, enabling dynamic reassignment of the encoder and ring functions based on button selection. Security features include remote locking/unlocking and local unlocking via a four-digit PIN entry. Configurable through HiQnet Audio Architect with drag-and-drop functionality, the BSS EC-4BV (EU) (White) is ideal for professional installations in conference rooms, offices, educational facilities, and other audio environments.
