The BSS Soundweb Contrio EC-4BV (US) (White) is a modern Ethernet controller designed for use in Harman HiQnet systems. It is compatible with BSS Audio Soundweb London devices, Crown DCi series amplifiers, and other HiQnet equipment. The controller features a compact US form factor.

The device connects to a local network via Ethernet and is powered using PoE technology, simplifying installation and operation. The EC-4BV includes one programmable rotary encoder with push functionality, a multicolor encoder ring, four programmable buttons, and a 64x128 pixel color LCD screen.

The encoder allows smooth control of parameters such as volume and can also be pressed to perform actions like muting or recalling presets. The encoder ring visually indicates signal levels or parameter states. The buttons can be used for source selection, preset recall, or other control tasks.

The display supports any required text, and the backlighting of the buttons, encoder, and screen supports 8 colors with adjustable brightness. The device has a sleep mode that automatically turns off the backlighting after a period of inactivity, making it ideal for low-light environments. Security features include remote lock/unlock and local unlocking using a PIN code.
