Integrated amplifier Rega Elicit MK5

The new Rega Elicit MK5 stereo integrated amplifier is designed and manufactured to the highest standards. Housed in a state-of-the-art, custom-designed enclosure in line with the rest of Rega's range, the new MK5 builds on Rega's previous designs by utilizing an award-winning Class A/B power amplifier circuit delivering 105W per channel into 8 ohms (127W into 6 ohms). Om). Rega engineers have developed a new Rega DAC design that provides digital connectivity and greater integration with other products. Great care has been taken to provide a high-quality phono stage, and the headphone input has been configured so that speaker switching is handled by the output mute relay so as not to interfere with signal flow.

The new Elicit MK5 leverages ten years of electronics development experience. It is a complex blend of three of Rega's most successful products and promises to deliver high levels of sound, power, capability and style. The Elicit MK5 is capable of driving complex speaker systems with ease and integrates seamlessly into any audio system, offering a wide range of connectivity options. In addition to line, digital and high-quality phono inputs, there is also a pre-out, direct input, Record Loop function and a high-performance headphone input.

The Elicit MK5 now features other design features taken directly from the highly acclaimed Aethos amplifier. It uses the same discrete FET preamp circuitry, as well as an Alps volume potentiometer to further improve sonic and technical performance. As you would expect, special attention was paid to the selection of key audio components. The design uses discrete chips, high quality relays, polypropylene capacitors and Sanken output transistors.

The galvanically/optically isolated digital inputs utilize Wolfson's S/PDIF receiver chip to provide exceptional detail and clarity from any connected source. The output signal is provided by a Wolfson DAC and a discrete line driver developed by Rega. The new Elicit MK5 leverages decades of award-winning amplifier and digital circuit design experience to create the perfect balance of reliability, connectivity and, above all, accurate music reproduction.
