Rega io has been designed to offer exceptional Rega performance at an affordable price. It uses the same amplifier stage as the award-winning Brio, but is now rated at 30 watts per channel into 8 ohms. The io features two line-level inputs, a Rega phono stage, and a dedicated high-quality headphone output. io will fit seamlessly into any home audio system, while remaining simple to use and easy to set up.
The io uses the same power amplifier and phono stage as its award-winning big brother, the Brio. io's goal is to deliver exceptional sound quality in a smaller, more cost-effective package. The Class A/B circuit shares DNA with the rest of Rega's amplifiers and, as usual, great care has been taken in the selection of components. Sanken output transistors, Alps volume potentiometer and linear power supply provide 30W per channel output power into 8 ohms. On the front panel of the device there is a headphone output designed to power standard Hi-Fi headphones. It is controlled from the device's power amplifier stage via a relay, which avoids signal degradation when connecting headphones or muting the sound. The package includes a mini remote control with an updated design.
