The Monitor Audio IA40-3 is a compact installation amplifier that combines digital, analog and wireless capabilities, making it a versatile solution for modern audio systems. Thanks to its small size (32.6 x 196 x 182.5 mm with mounting), the IA40-3 can be placed almost anywhere, making it an ideal choice for small spaces such as kitchens, bedrooms, or offices.
This amplifier delivers 40 watts of output power to each of the three channels at 4 ohms, or 60 watts to two channels, allowing it to be used in a two- or three-channel configuration. In addition, it supports an 8 ohm configuration with 2 x 50W or 3 x 30W of power. With its built-in optical input, classic 3.5mm jack, and Bluetooth (version 4.1), the IA40-3 is suitable for a wide range of audio sources.
Monitor Audio IA40-3 is designed for “live and accurate” sound, which is especially noticeable when connected to passive shelf speakers or ceiling speakers. It can also be used with a TV set by connecting it to a passive soundbar. Additionally, there is a subwoofer output that can be configured as a line out for a second zone, or an active subwoofer can be connected for more intense bass.
For convenient control, the IA40-3 is equipped with an RS232 port and an input for an external IR sensor, which allows the amplifier to be controlled remotely and integrated into installation systems.
