The EKX series combines legendary EV sound quality and reliability with the latest technology, all in a compact package suitable for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications, including musicians/DJs and live, club, installed sound.
The Electro-Voice EKX-15P is a powerful two-way loudspeaker with a 15" woofer and 1" titanium compressor driver. The power of the class D amplifier is 1500 watts, which makes this speaker quite suitable for use in live music scenarios, lectures and nightclubs. Built-in QuickSmartDSP technology, LCD navigation menu and one-button user interface allow you to adjust a variety of parameters such as room presets, EQ control and user-programmable memory presets. In addition, visual control of the operation of the limiter, input meter and master volume allows you to correctly adjust the gain. There are four DSP presets for different settings – music, live performance, speech and club. EV-engineered components and the patented Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) waveguide design provide precise coverage and superior sound quality at high SPLs. EV's award-winning industrial design – a durable wood frame and durable EVCoat – ensures EKX's look as great as they sound. The intelligent thermal management system controls the fan speed with multiple built-in sensors for enhanced durability. Electro-Voice's SST waveguide design provides consistent and reliable coverage of a given area, while Cardioid Control technology directs the output toward the audience, reducing levels by up to 35dB on stage when using multiple subwoofers. For ease of installation and transportation, the EKX-15P is equipped with eight mounting points with M10 thread. It can also be mounted on a stand or used as a floor monitor on stage. Audio can be connected to RCA inputs or XLR-1/4" combo jacks, or connected to other monitors via the XLR output.
