The Electro-Voice EVID-C8.2HC-G2 is a high-performance ceiling loudspeaker system designed specifically for installation in rooms with high ceilings or where maximum sound directivity is required. Its powerful 8-inch coaxial two-way speaker delivers high sound pressure levels (up to 122 dB peak SPL) and a narrow 75° coverage angle, allowing it to effectively fill large spaces with clear speech and music reproduction.
The EVID-C8.2HC-G2 enclosure is made of fire-resistant ABS plastic (UL 94V-0) with a steel rear chamber that meets fire safety requirements. The grille has a frameless design, is magnetically attached, and is coated with white powder paint (RAL 9003), allowing the system to be easily integrated into the interior. Thanks to its compact profile (installation depth of only 292 mm), the speaker is easy to install even in difficult installation conditions.
The EVID-C8.2HC-G2 is equipped with a transformer that can operate in 70 V/100 V lines or in 8 Ohm mode. The power is adjustable via a front switch: available values range from 5.6 to 90 W. Thanks to its high sensitivity (94 dB SPL at 1 W/1 m), the loudspeaker works effectively even at a considerable distance from the listeners. For safe installation, the kit includes a mounting ring and mounting frame, and the Euroblock terminal block allows quick connection to cables up to 12 AWG.
The EVID-C8.2HC-G2 system is UL 1480A, UL 2043, CSA 22.2 205, and IEC 62638 certified, allowing it to be used in commercial, public, and educational spaces.
