Passive PA Speaker Dynacord VL152

Modern sound reinforcement and public address systems require equipment that guarantees exceptional sound quality for a wide variety of events. Multifunctionality is a prerequisite in order to be able to quickly respond to changing customer requirements. The Dynacord VL152 two-way full-range speaker has been acoustically and mechanically optimized for multi-functional use. The variety of mounting accessories and good looks make the VL152 ideal for use in the most challenging environments. The VL152's body is made from birch plywood and is therefore extremely resistant to abuse on the road. The surface is painted with black two-component paint, which can be easily renewed if necessary. To reproduce low and mid frequencies, a lightweight neodymium driver DND15400 is used. High frequencies are emitted by a 90°x45° constant directivity rotating horn equipped with a 1.4-inch Electro-Voice ND6 driver.

The VL152 can be used in passive full-range mode, and can also be switched from external mode to "Biamped" mode. There are factory Linear-Phase FIR presets for the IRIS-Net RCM-26 module and factory presets for conventional digital speaker controllers, such as the DSP244. EASE and Ulysses data enable fast and accurate modeling. The VL152 can be used as a stand-alone general-purpose full-range cabinet or as a satellite or delay cabinet in larger systems. Each transducer is protected from thermal overload by electronic Voice Coil Tracking Protection and halogen protection. This circuit detects the voltage at the driver terminals and models the thermal behavior of the driver voice coils. In the event of possible thermal overload, the power supplied to the speakers is reduced to a safe level. The voice coil overheat protection has "soft" switching characteristics, so annoying clicks or pops are not heard. The circuit automatically resets once the voice coil temperature reaches a safe value. Ultra-durable acoustic foam mounted on a durable powder-coated steel grille protects speaker components from any mechanical damage. Recessed Speakon connectors ensure quiet operation of the VL152. There is a large selection of TUV certified mounting accessories available. A protective cover is available as an option.
