Passive Monitor Dynacord CXM15W

The Dynacord CXM15 is a lightweight wedge for professional monitoring applications. The dual-way 15"/1.4" Dynacord DCX15450 driver utilizes a coaxially mounted HF unit and can be used in passive or bi-amped operation. The acoustic crossover frequency from the 15" woofer to the 1.4" midrange compression driver is about 1.2 kHz. Due to the relatively low crossover frequency and the coaxial design of the driver, exceptionally accurate vocal detection is guaranteed. The power amplifiers are connected to the CXM 15 via Speakon NL4MPR connectors. Switching from passive to Biamped mode is accomplished via a slide switch. The CXM 15 is equipped with 3 Speakon connectors wired in parallel. This makes it easy to daisy-chain multiple CXM 15 wedges and pole-mounted cabs. The 1.4" diameter mid/high frequency compression driver is protected from short-term thermal overload by Voice Coil Tracking Protection electronic circuitry. The protection circuitry has "soft" switching characteristics, so no annoying clicks or other sounds are heard when thermal overload occurs. FIR and IIR controller presets are available for all modes of operation. The CXM 15 enclosure is made of birch plywood and is therefore extremely resistant to damage. All joints of the enclosure are grooved and glued. The surface is painted with two-component paint, which can be easily renewed if required. A powder-coated steel grille with acoustic foam protects the transducers from accidental damage. A recessed flange provides ease of installation. Handles are built into both sides of the CXM15.
