Taking its design cue from the Concept series, but in a new enclosure, the tweeter is fully sealed and mechanically separated from the front panel to protect against internal cabinet pressure and resonances from the midrange driver.

At the center of the all-new midrange and woofer design is the C3 Continuous Curved Cone. The cone geometry requires a strong motor for optimal performance. Significant magnets are coupled to large voice coils to increase motor strength – the result is a 50% increase in strength and control compared to a similar driver with a 25.4 mm diameter voice coil. The result is an improved dynamic range of the loudspeaker, especially in the bass area.

Based on the tweeter design principle found in the latest Concept series, the tweeter driver is fully hermetically sealed and mechanically separated (floating) from the front panel to prevent internal pressure modulations from the cabinet and adjacent midrange and woofer drivers. The internal chamber is also carefully drilled to reduce distortion with a lower transition level for seamless integration through the transition region.

A true advancement in midrange and bass driver design elements, the C3 Continuous Curved Cone profile is the result of intensive research and expert engineering to combine the bass performance advantages of a traditional straight cone with the high-frequency control of a flared cone's midrange and high end.

By creating one smooth, continuous curve, the benefits are obvious. Its excellent distribution, along with a well-controlled frequency response and reduced harmonic distortion, allows for smoother integration with the tweeter. Deep bass dynamics are also superior, thanks to this and a tighter, more attenuated low end, allowing greater flexibility in placing speakers close to the wall boundaries of the listening room.
