The ART Precision Phono Preamp is a self-contained phono preamp that enables the connection of both moving coil (MC) and moving magnet (MM) turntable needle types to a wide range of audio systems. It is designed to enhance the sound quality of your vinyl collection.
Thanks to the extremely low noise level of the Precision Phono Preamp, it is possible to connect to MC cartridges without the noise pickup or distortion that can occur when using transformers. Sound clarity is maintained with a low-pass filter that removes hum and low-frequency feedback.
The analog inputs on the rear panel of the ART Precision Phono Preamp switch between moving magnet (MM) and moving coil (MC). The device changes both the gain and loading of the cartridge according to the selected type. There is a gain control on the front panel with a signal/clipping indicator, allowing the user to optimize the output for a wide range of cartridges. Also, the front panel contains buttons for turning on the filter and switching between MM and MC cartridges. Inputs and outputs are located on the back panel. They are represented by RCA connectors. Also next to the input is a resistance switch for the MC with the option of 20 ohms or 100 ohms.
