The Rega Fono MM MK5 has been designed to be efficient, easy to use and, above all, play music. The Fono MM MK5 phono stage uses a fully discrete input stage with a complementary amplifier, a configuration designed to optimize the performance of the moving magnet cartridge. The connection is very simple - stereo RCA as input and output. The Fono MM is turned on by pressing a button located on the front panel. The Rega logo glows red during operation.
The Fono MM MK5 is housed in an all-new, updated design to match the new Fono MC and Rega's latest range of electronic components, and has a modern look to ensure integration into any hi-fi system. The aesthetic design of the Fono MM was just as important as the quality of its electrical capabilities, which is why it features the same updated aluminum cabinet as the Rega Neo and Fono MC amplifiers. The RIAA equalization was split into two stages to minimize interference. Polyester capacitors are used in the signal transmission circuits, and polypropylene in the RIAA equalization circuits.
