The NAD C 588 is a belt-driven turntable that combines exceptional sound quality with state-of-the-art technology. The factory-installed Ortofon 2M Red cartridge and 9-inch tonearm ensure accurate music reproduction, while the vertical tracking angle and azimuth controls allow you to fine-tune the sound to your personal preferences.
The C 588's synchronous motor is powered by an innovative approach: first, the AC power is converted to DC, which guarantees a clean signal. Then, a precise alternating voltage is generated that supplies the motor with perfect stability. This ensures smooth and stable rotation of the disk, minimizing any distortion.
The support disk, weighing 1.74 kg, is made of polished glass about one centimeter thick. It is mounted on a sub-disk made of low-resonance polymer, which reduces the impact of unwanted vibrations. A felt mat further absorbs vibrations, providing clear and detailed sound.
The carbon fiber tonearm, developed specifically for the NAD C 588, is both durable and lightweight. The fixed metal head shell, decoupled counterweight, and magnetic compensation ensure perfect tracking accuracy. The azimuth and vertical angle settings allow you to get the maximum accuracy of sound reproduction.
The turntable lid is made of acrylic and can be securely fixed in any position. The table is made of high-quality MDF and precisely machined to ensure rigidity and resistance to vibrations.
