The Rega Planar 2 Nd3 (Black) is a state-of-the-art model with advanced technology that has been designed to maximize the sound details of vinyl records. With the latest Nd3 moving magnet cartridge installed from the factory, the turntable delivers a new level of audio performance. The Planar 2 was developed in parallel with the Planar 3 over a two-year period and is equipped with numerous new features to enhance the sound quality.
The updated model includes the RB220 tonearm, which has revolutionary features for improved performance and ease of setup. With ultra-low-friction bearings, a new low-noise 24V motor and improved ergonomic components, the turntable delivers clear, unobstructed music reproduction. The laminated high-gloss plinth in acrylic or walnut finish adds to the aesthetics and rigidity of the design.
The Planar 2 features a new self-locking center bearing that reduces bearing pressure, preventing energy loss. The turntable also uses 10mm Optiwhite float glass for precise platter rotation. Updated platter feet provide increased stability and minimize vibration transmission, which significantly improves sound performance.
The Rega Carbon cartridge comes pre-installed from the factory, allowing the turntable to be ready for use without the need for additional adjustments. The updated EBLT belt, introduced in 2021, ensures stable rotation for accurate sound reproduction.
Available in a variety of finishes, including glossy white, black, red, or walnut effect, the Rega Planar 2 is a stylish and functional addition to any audio system.
