Katy Perry was born on October 25, 1984 in Santa Barbara, California, USA. She is a famous American author-performer, composer, actress, dancer, music producer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and autobiographer. Raised in a family of pastors, she changed her last name to Perry because her maiden name, "Katie Hudson", was too similar to the name of another famous person. Katy's first successful single was the song "I Kissed a Girl", which topped the charts in 15 countries in 2008. Two of her music videos, "Dark Horse" and "Roar", were among the top 20 most-watched videos on YouTube as of June 2016.
"Prism" is the fourth studio album by the American singer Katy Perry, which was released on October 22, 2013, under the Capitol Records label. Initially, it was planned as "darker", but it turned out to be mostly dance. The album expresses themes of modern life, relationships, and self-awareness. The first single "Roar" was released on August 10, 2013, and the promo single "Dark Horse" was released on September 17, 2013. The album's songs were inspired by self-improvement, hope, and feelings of love, while "Unconditionally" was inspired by the singer's romantic relationship with John Mayer.
