Blooms Corda is a Ukrainian music group founded by Danylo Halyk in 2014. The band is distinguished by a unique combination of authentic funk and jazz-adjacent music with poetic Ukrainian-language lyrics. Critics have repeatedly recognized the group as one of the most original on the independent music scene of Ukraine. Over its existence, Blooms Corda has released a number of albums, including "Monodance" (2015), "Gigotosia" (2016), "Fog Lavender" (2018), "Найдорожчі речі у світі" (2022), and "Дощ іде, але сонце світить" (2024). Against the backdrop of the RF's invasion of Ukraine, the group also became a participant in the charitable music compilation "За Україну" (For Ukraine).
"Дощ іде, але сонце світить" (The Rain Is Falling, but the Sun Is Shining) is the fifth studio album by Blooms Corda, presented on April 19, 2024. The record was recorded at a home studio during 2023–2024 and consists of 11 compositions, including the singles "Пісня про війну" (Song about the War) and "Даня у клітці зі спогадами" (Danya in a Cage with Memories). According to frontman Danylo Halyk, the main theme of the release is time in its various manifestations. The album has a contrasting sound, varying from intimate acoustic songs to rich tracks.
