Bob Marley and the Wailers – a Jamaican band that played ska, rocksteady, and reggae styles. It was formed in 1963 by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer. The band became iconic in the development of reggae music and is known for hits such as "Simmer Down", "Trenchtown Rock", "Nice Time", "War", "Stir It Up", and "Get Up, Stand Up". In 1974, Tosh and Wailer left the band due to differences with the label and ideological disagreements. Marley continued with a new lineup and released seven more albums. The band disbanded after Marley's death in 1981.
Catch A Fire (50th Anniversary Edition) is the anniversary reissue of the legendary album by The Wailers, which was first released in 1973. This expanded version features the full concert at the Paris Theatre in London, which has never been officially released before. The collection also includes eight previously unreleased alternative and extended versions of songs, including "400 Years", "Stir It Up", and "Stop That Train", as well as three tracks from the famous performance at Sundown Theatre in Edmonton, London. The release features new notes by music journalist Chris Salewicz and a 24-page book with previously unseen archival photos. A special feature of the fourth LP is the etching on one side, adding collectible value to the release.
