Scorpions is a German rock band founded in 1965 in Hanover. The band enjoyed a successful period from 1978 to 1992. During that time, the lineup included Klaus Meine, Rudolf Schenker, Matthias Jabs, Francis Buchholz, and Herman Rarebell. The band shifted their style from hard rock to melodic heavy metal under the influence of Jabs and producer Dieter Dirks. Achieving commercial success, they released several platinum albums and topped charts in both Germany and the USA. The band released thirteen studio albums that charted in the top 10 in Germany, one of which reached No. 1, and three consecutive albums that were in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 in the USA.
Comeblack was released on November 4, 2011. It offers an interesting take on the band's classic hits, re-recorded with new arrangements. This compilation album also features covers of iconic rock songs from the 1960s and 1970s, adding a special charm. Fans can enjoy updated versions of legendary tracks like “Rock You Like a Hurricane” and “Wind of Change,” as well as covers of “Tainted Love” and “Across the Universe.” Comeblack was conceived as a pleasant bonus for the band's loyal fans after their farewell tour. Although the album received mixed reviews from critics, it was warmly received by fans for its fresh take on classic songs and its variety, which includes both old hits and reinterpreted songs from the golden era of rock music.
