Ed Sheeran is an English singer, songwriter, guitarist, and actor. His first commercial success came in July 2011 with the single "The A Team", which reached number three in the UK chart. "The A-Team" was nominated for Song of the Year at the 2013 Grammy Awards, where he performed the song with Elton John. All his albums - "+" (2011), "x" (2015), "÷" (2017) - took the first place in the UK Singles Chart, the last one also topped the US chart. His song Thinking Out Loud at the 58th Grammy Awards won him two awards for Song of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance. In January 2017, the single "Shape of You" took the 1st place in terms of sales in the USA and Great Britain.
"Equals" is Ed Sheeran's fifth studio album, released in 2021. After "+", "X" and "÷", choosing the name of this album - "Equals" - became the next stage in the author's career. The album reflects the singer's personal life, parenthood, the loss of a friend, and finding a compromise between work and personal life. It was supported by five singles, including "Bad Habits", "Shivers" and "Overpass Graffiti". Sheeran has described this album as personal and meaningful to him.
