Green Gray is a famous Ukrainian rock band founded in Kyiv in 1993 by Andriy Yatsenko, known as Diezel. The band is known for its unique style that combines various genres such as rapcore, funk rock, trip-hop, and dub core. Their songs, such as “Pod dozhdom”, “Mazafaka”, “Emigrant”, “Stereosistema”, “Tot den'”, gained popularity among listeners. The group became the first in Ukraine to win the MTV Europe Music Awards.

Debut album “Green Grey” by the legendary Ukrainian band Green Grey was released in the fall of 1997 and is now receiving a new life in an exclusive release on colored purple vinyl, issued in a limited edition. This album, known for its unique blend of styles including funk, rock, and trip-hop, features a remaster of the sound specially done for this release in 2024. Green Grey, in the early years of their career, stood out with their lively and vibrant music, which the band members themselves called “ukr-pop,” placing them alongside phenomena such as Britpop. The uniqueness of the band was not only in their music but also in their innovative approach to their lineup: they were the first in the history of Ukrainian rock music to include a DJ in their group. Green Grey also became pioneers by attending the MTV awards ceremony and signing a contract with “Pepsi-Cola.”
