INXS is an Australian rock band formed in 1977 under the name Farriss Brothers. The band included musicians such as Michael Hutchence, Garry Beers, Andrew Farriss, and others. INXS gained international popularity in the 1980s and 1990s with albums like Listen Like Thieves, Kick, X, and hits like "Need You Tonight" and "Never Tear Us Apart". After Hutchence's death in 1997, the band continued with new vocalists, with the last being Kiaron Gribbin. INXS has sold over 75 million albums and received numerous music awards, including induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2001.
The album Shabooh Shoobah by Australian rock band INXS, released on October 13, 1982, marked an important milestone in the band's career as their first international release. The album reached No. 5 on the ARIA Albums Chart and remained on the chart for 94 weeks. It featured hits like "The One Thing", "Don't Change", "To Look at You", and "Black and White", which helped the band gain popularity in the US, Canada, and Australia. The album was recorded with producer Mark Opitz, and its title, Shabooh Shoobah, is an onomatopoeic representation of the rhythm from the song "Spy of Love". This album was a significant step for the band as it received recognition both in Australia and internationally, laying the foundation for their future global success.
