KAZKA is a popular Ukrainian band founded in 2017, performing in a unique genre of pop with electro-folk elements. Consisting of vocalist Oleksandra Zaritska, sopilka player Dmytro Mazuriak, and multi-instrumentalist Nikita Budash, the group became a true musical breakthrough, winning "Best Debut" and "Breakthrough of the Year" awards. Thanks to Yuriy Nikitin's production and the Mamamusic label, the band was the first Ukrainian-language project to enter the Global Shazam Top 10 chart and reach hundreds of millions of views on YouTube, promoting modern Ukrainian culture far beyond the country's borders.
The debut studio album "KARMA", released in 2018, became a true manifesto of new progressive Ukrainian music. The record contains ten Ukrainian-language tracks, including the global hit "Plakala," which set an absolute record for the number of streams, and a cover version of the legendary song "Movchaty" by the band "Skryabin." The album combines deep lyrics, sincere confession, and the authentic sound of wind instruments, while its 2019 vinyl edition offers listeners a special "tube" atmosphere and a chance to hear favorite stories that give you goosebumps.
